How your words become an Engram

  1. Rim

    Your words enter at the edge

    Each word takes its place around the rim in reading order, clockwise from the top, and starts a small wave of activity.

  2. Rings

    They travel inward

    On the cortex, signals cross ten rings of drawn neurons toward the core, with long chords linking each word back to the ones before it. On the heart, they follow its own wiring to the pacemaker, where a heartbeat starts.

  3. Core

    The trace is printed

    Every path a signal took is inked as a long exposure, with your sentence typeset beneath. Change a single comma and the whole trace changes.

Engram is drawn by a deterministic algorithm from the letters of your sentence. No AI image model is involved, and nothing is stored about you to make it.

Prints

Printed to order on 189 g/m² enhanced matte paper by our print partner in the US, UK or EU, whichever is closest to you, so there are no import duties for most orders. Frames are solid wood with a shatter-resistant acrylic front and come ready to hang.

Questions

How long does delivery take?

Prints are made in 2 to 5 business days and usually arrive 3 to 9 days after that, depending on where you are. Digital downloads arrive by email within minutes. For a birthday or anniversary, order at least two weeks ahead in the US and UK and three weeks ahead in the EU.

What can I write?

Your own words: vows, a message, a name, a saying from someone you love. Quotes are fine if they are in the public domain. We can't print song lyrics, poems or passages that are still under copyright, and we refuse anything hateful.

Will the print look like the preview?

Yes. The preview and the print file are drawn by the same code from the same words, so the pattern is identical. Colours on paper are a little softer than on a bright screen, especially the dark Anthracite colour.

Can I cancel or return it?

Each Engram is made from your words, so it can't be returned for a change of mind. Before printing starts you can ask us to cancel: we refund what you paid minus the card processing fee (usually about 3%). If it arrives damaged or misprinted, or never arrives, tell us within 30 days of the delivery date and we will replace it or refund you.

What happens to my words?

We use them only to make your print and to send it to you. We delete them 90 days after delivery, and we never use them for marketing or to train anything.

Is this AI art?

No. The image comes from a fixed algorithm that turns the letters of your sentence into a pattern of signals on a drawn cortex or heart. It doesn't generate pictures, and the same words always produce the same Engram.

Can I save the preview?

Previews show your print on a wall at screen size, with a mark, and the magnifier shows one part at a time up close. On computers they hide while the screen is being captured. Your print, or your download's files, come in full, without the mark, once you order. Every order also comes with your reveal video without the mark.

What is the reveal video?

A short vertical video of your words being thought, ending on your print, made for Reels, TikTok and Stories. Save it free from your preview, with a mark. Every order includes it without the mark, by email once your files are sent or your print goes into production, and you can also buy the video on its own.
